The City of Winter Park and the Public Art Advisory Board are pleased to announce the return of Art on the Green, a prestigious exhibition of Seven sculptures will be on display from Sunday, November 1, 2015, through Tuesday, March 1, 2016, concurrent with park hours. Visitors can begin their outdoor sculpture tour at the Central Park Rose Garden, located near the intersection of Park and New England avenues, or from anywhere in the park. The seven artists are Lydia Azout, Maria Cristina Carbonell, Robert Chambers, Edouard Duval Carrie, Emmett Moore, Cristina Lei Rodriguez and Frances Trombly. Their sculptures, ranging in size, materials, and color, reflect the wide spectrum of approaches that artists are taking today as well as the vitality of artists with roots in Miami who are gaining both national and international recognition. Art on the Green is organized by guest curator Suzanne Delehanty, founding director of the Miami Art Museum.
TBBOX partnership with Mrs. Delehanty made possible the participation of artist Maria Cristina Carbonell. Maria Cristina Carbonell lives and works in Miami. She is a versatile artist who express her ideas through drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and video art. She studied at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and at the Art Student League. Since 1989 Carbonell has exhibited widely in museums and galleries in Caracas, Barcelona, São Paulo, Madrid, México D.F, London, New York, Miami, Taipei, Basel, to name a few. Comments are closed.
