In the Community

SaludArte Foundation believes in artistic expressions as essential tools for positive social transformation, supporting equal opportunity activities for artists and professional performing companies that promote social integration through the arts.

In the community Saludarte develops and implements art projects and the use of creative art therapies, proven to facilitate healing process, thereby promoting physical, cognitive, emotional and well being. For this purpose, music, dance, theater and visual arts workshops are organized in pediatric care units, encouraging interaction between artists and patients for the creation of art works and performances in the hospital setting.

Synergy

Picture
Synergy is a dance performance based on cooperation between artist of different abilities and artistic languages.  Constructed around Phillip Glass Quartet No. 5, nine musicians and dancers interpret and improvise movements. The language of the dance and choreography combine postmodern concepts with free and eclectic choices of every day movements, contrasted with formal and abstract sections and with the personal and expressive fragments unique to each performer.. It premiered in June, 2013, at the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston (MFAH). And participated in the Ramallah Dance Festival 2015 in Palestine and Jerusalem.
